Welcome to the Embark Blog

Hello from Fraser, Dave and Justin… and welcome to the Embark blog!

We’re pumped you’re here!

We started Embark because we’re excited about the future of work and what it means for people who want to explore the world. At Embark, we’re focused on building supportive and inspiring communities, and helping them work and live in dynamic cities around the world. This blog is for location independent professionals and digital nomads who want to join a community of entrepreneurs, techies and creative professionals.

When it comes to the topics of work and travel, there’s plenty to write about. Our goal is for this to be a fun, informative and useful resource for you.

Here are some examples of the type of content and topics you can expect from us:

Remote working productivity tips and tricks
Wondering what the three most important things are to pack for South America? Looking for a way to track your expenses in different countries and currencies? We’ll share our favorite work/travel hacks, products and technology that simplify our lives while we work and explore.

Places we’ve traveled
From finding the best cup of coffee, the best wifi, or the best coworking space, we’ll weigh in on destinations we’ve traveled to. Expect these posts to be part city review and part fun stories from our travels.

Entrepreneurs and location independent professionals
Sharing and exchanging experiences make us happy. We’ll connect with interesting entrepreneurs and other location independent professionals for interviews, business profiles and guest contributed content. Regardless of your field of work, there’ll be a little something for everyone.

Startup focused content
As a startup, we’ve had our fair share of exciting moments and bumps in the road. We’ll highlight some of the issues we’ve faced, as well as our approaches to solving them. Heck, we might even ask for your input.

Contests and giveaways
Occasionally, we’ll post about contests or giveaways for free stuff… because who doesn’t get excited about free stuff!?

We’ll be adding more content and new articles every week, so please check us out as often as you can and share our posts on social media if you like them!

I am looking forward to becoming more informed on the lifestyle of working as a digital nomad. Cloud computing is definitely giving a lot of us more options as to how and where we work. Being a female, I love the idea of working and exploring with like-minded people in culturally diverse communities.

This is a totally exciting concept. Working remotely will continue to become the norm as companies and organizations tap into the best global talent without the associated hiring and infrastructure costs. And people like me want more out of life than working at a desk for 30+ years. . Looking forward to signing up….
